Palestinian Political Cartoons Incite the Murder of Jews
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1)
While Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas, his political party Fatah and the terrorist group Hamas incite violence against Israel and the Jewish People, Palestinian music, video games, social media and political cartoons continuously fan the flames.
The Palestinian Authority official newspaper, Al Hayat al Jadida, which is under control of so-called moderate Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas, glorifies violence by depicting in cartoons a message easily understood by even children: continue stoning and driving over Jewish Israelis.
Of course, this message isn’t limited to the PA newspaper. The use of anti-Semitic and anti-Israel cartoons in the Arab and Palestinian media is widespread and demonstrates no restraint.
Palestinian political cartoons incite the murder of Jews.
The latest incitements to violence are in reaction to charges that the Jews are planning to destroy the al-Aqsa mosque, and it's an outcry against the presence of Jews on the Temple Mount.
For example, last week’s grisly terrorist attack in a Jerusalem synagogue where Jews were reciting morning prayer was celebrated in the Hamas-affiliated social media with cartoons. The cartoons depicted the attack as being a response to Jewish demands to worship on the Temple Mount and, thus, as a defense of a presumed threat to the al-Aqsa Mosque.
Five men—four Jewish worshipers and one Druze policeman—were murdered by two Palestinian terrorists.
This Palestinian cartoon likens the car to a gun. The text reads, “Achieve
the objective even with your car.”
the objective even with your car.”
In the following typical cartoon, a father is seen before the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount sitting by an Israeli police barrier.
The father is handing his son a slingshot and instructing him to use it, saying, "Purification before prayer is performed with stones."
A Palestinian father on the Temple Mount tells his son to stone Jews,
connecting it to devotion to God.
connecting it to devotion to God.
Another depicts a man standing atop the Dome shooting a slingshot while giving blood to the Dome through an infusion line.
While slinging stones may seem rather tame in comparison to the use of actual weapons or even Molotov Cocktails, they can be lethal. In September of 2011, Asher Palmer and his infant son were killed when stones were thrown at their car.
Such cartoons, which appear in Arabic, are not in conflict with Abbas’ true goals and values; for example, in a cartoon published on November 6 on an official Fatah Facebook page Abbas’s Fatah party used the word “da’es,” which means “run over,” to encourage street violence. The word “da’es” is smaller to “da’esh,” or Islamic State. In the cartoon, the Aqsa Mosque appears in the background and underneath are printed the words, “Hit the gas at 199 [km/h] for al-Aqsa.” (JPost)
Many cartoons, such as the one below, depict Jews fleeing from or murdered by terrorists in cars.
A Palestinian political cartoon encourages Palestinians to carry out attacks
on Israelis by running them over with cars.
on Israelis by running them over with cars.
This is a clear incitement to terror. Sadly, it has in fact “succeeded.” On November 10, a Palestinian terrorist tried to run over Israeli Dalia Lemkus. Because he was unsuccessful at killing her with his car, he got out and stabbed her repeatedly.
Such incitement to violence is nothing new for Palestinian President Abbas.
For years, Abbas has shown one face to Western media and quite another to the Palestinian people and Muslim world. While his statements in the Western press indicate support for a two-state solution, in Arabic he continues to encourage Palestinians to use any means including violence and terror to remove the Jewish “entity.”
Of course, Hamas is no stranger to such incitement, either. Recently it produced an animated music video that warns, “Zionist run away, run away Zionist. You are about to be killed by a car.”

The lyrics include:
"Zionist, you and not another
Look right, look left, be careful
A car emerges from all sides
Picks you up to your grave
An angry car is coming toward you
Run for your life
You chose [this] so bear responsibility
Run away because you are about to die." (Arutz Sheva)
Another song exhorts, “Run over, run over the 2-month-old baby girl—that’s how we get back at them,” reported Israel’s Channel 2 News in July.
Just a few months later, a terrorist rammed his car into the stroller of 3-month-old Chaya Zissel Braun and a crowd of people at a train stop, killing her and a 22-year old woman from Ecuador.

Day of Rage Weapons Shipment Intercepted
"Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?" (Psalm 2:1)
Last week, a government sting operation involving Jerusalem District detectives and officers from the Tax Authority and the Ashdod Port Customs uncovered a massive shipment of illegal fireworks, knives, and Tasers.
Police believe the weapons were intended for use by Arab rioters on “the day of rage,” for which the terrorist organizations Hamas and Islamic Jihad called to take place afterFriday prayers “in solidarity with al-Aqsa Mosque.”
Previous demonstrations have involved the use of fireworks against the authorities, and it is believed that this shipment, which came from China, was meant for that purpose.
The cache involved two shipping crates that arrived in the port of Ashdod and were taken to a warehouse in Afula. The fireworks were found among Christmas decorations intended for Arab residents in the mostly Christian east Jerusalem neighborhood of Beit Hanina. (JPost)
In addition to 18,000 fireworks of the restricted 20 mm variety, the containers included 5,500 Tasers, 5,200 commando knives, 4,300 flashlights that can be modified into improvised Tasers, and 1,000 swords.
Using fireworks against the police and border security has become commonplace with Roman candles being pointed directly at the police and soldiers as impromptu hand “rockets.” When fired at close range, fireworks can be lethal, even penetrating special protective gear.

Sheikh Kamal Khatib, who is the deputy chairman of the northern branch of the Islamic Movement, together with the terrorist groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad, called on Palestinians in both the West Bank and Jerusalem to participate in such riots, which has caused Israeli authorities to consider age restrictions for those entering the Temple Mount.
“The Great War for Jerusalem has begun,” declared Khatib. (Algemeiner)
“The attacks in Jerusalem are driving all the Israelis crazy,” Khatib said. “I’m certain you have what to say and do to contribute. We call on our brothers in the West Bank to commence an intifada against the Israeli occupation of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, after 21 years of useless peace talks between the Palestinian Authority and Israel.”
On Friday, hundreds of West Bank residents responded to the call by staging protests in the Benjamin region of the West Bank and in Hebron.
Violence also erupted at the Kalandia checkpoint, located between Jerusalem and Ramallah, where as many as 400 Palestinians threw stones and firebombs at IDF troops forcing the troops to open fire. No casualties were reported.

responsibly in their speeches in the West, in the middle-east, they do not

One excuse for the attacks is avenging the deaths of terrorists who carried out recent attacks on Israeli civilians.
This includes the death of two terrorist who died after attacking unarmed worshipers in a Jerusalem synagogue with axes, cleavers, knives and a gun. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) claimed responsibility for the attack.
Another excuse for the attacks is the supposed desecration of the Temple Mount mosque by the presence of Jews on the holy Mount and its temporary closures after other terrorist attacks murdered Israeli civilians.
“Israel is lying that she wants peace and coexistence,” Khatib asserted. He also alleged that Israel “wants to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and build the [Third] temple.”
In response, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “They are saying that the Jews are contaminating the Temple Mount. They are saying that we are planning to destroy the Holy Places, that we intend to change the order of prayer there—this is all lies.”

Ashkelon Mayor in Hot Seat for Halting Arab Labor at Kindergarten
“The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.” (Leviticus 19:34)
On Thursday, in response to the attack in a Jerusalem synagogue two days before by Palestinian terrorists from East Jerusalem, Ashkelon Mayor Itamar Shimoni blocked Israeli Arab construction workers from fortifying and installing bomb shelters at a kindergartens in the southern port city of Ashkelon.
“The construction of security rooms at the kindergartens where Arab laborers are working will be suspended immediately, until further notice,” Shimoni announced.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded right away, saying, “There is no room for discrimination against Israel's Arabs.” (IsraelHaYom)
Shimoni, who had complained that the government was unable to provide sufficient security, explained on Israeli radio that the decision came after parents expressed fear for the children’s lives.
Arabs are a vital part of Israel's workforce.
Shai Rubin, a public activist and parent of a child in the school said to Arutz Sheva: "We told him [the mayor] that if Arab workers do not vacate the kindergartens, we will not send our children to them. The mayor understood our distress and I think all the ministers who criticized him are populists."
The mayor was taking precautions due to the delight many Muslims expressed in the spontaneous killings of Jewish Israelis by "lone-wolf" Muslim terrorists.
The mayor did propose to allow the work to go on after school hours, but his decision still caused a virtual firestorm among political parties. A great many are depicting him as being somewhere between Adolph Hitler and the Ku Klux Klan.
The strong political backlash came in part because Israeli Arab workers are so much a part of the country’s workforce and work side by side with Jewish Israelis throughout the community.
Rubin, however, said that surface identities can be misleading.
"I myself have often met someone from Hebron posing as an Arab Bedouin from the area," he said. "We do not have anything against the Arab residents of the State of Israel—they are some of our friends. But the situation today, you cannot know if someone will get up in the morning and just decide to attack."

A Channel 10 poll showed that 58% of Israelis supported Shimoni’s decision.
Nevertheless, Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein warned that “not employing workers due to their being Arabs, and having a public official sending the message that employing Arabs is undesirable, does not comply with the law.” (Times of Israel)
As well, the Commissioner for Equal Employment Opportunities, Tziona Koenig-Yair, announced on Thursday that the Mayor’s actions break the Equal Opportunity law.
“Local authorities also have public responsibility towards all their residents, Jews and Arabs alike,” she said.
The Commissioner added, “Such authorities must show leadership and act to calm the storm, and not take collective action which may fan the flames. We all need to work together to improve the situation, and continue to work towards equality and tolerance for all citizens of the State of Israel, both Jews and Arabs.” (JP)
On Sunday, Shimoni showed such leadership with his Plan C: Arab workers will continue the construction while children will be taught at community centers for the remaining week of work.
“My decision was disproportionate,” Shimoni said. “Overall I was attentive to parents, and under no circumstances did I given an order to expel Arabs from Ashkelon.” (Times of Israel)

From Israeli Space Innovations to Wearable Smart Technology
“Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him.” (Genesis 18:18)
An Israeli developer of bio-sensing technology called LifeBEAM, which has created technology used in the aerospace industry to monitor vitals such heart rate and blood flow for jet pilots and astronauts, will play a pivotal role in helping Samsung compete with the much heralded Apple smart watches.
LifeBEAM's bio-sensing technology has been embedded in the new Samsung Simband platform and uses six sensors to measure heart rate, blood flow, skin conductivity (degree of sweat), skin temperature, and other information. (Times of Israel)
"Together, we’re giving consumers the ability to collect, integrate, display and communicate accurate biometrics in real-time. The wide range of applications in sports, health and medicine are very exciting,” said Omri Yoffe, CEO of LifeBEAM.
LifeBEAM also makes other wearable technology that connects to smartphones, fitness watches or cycling computers.
LifeBEAM created the world's first smart cycling helmet.

Another consumer product is a smart baseball cap with aerospace level heart rate, calorie consumption, cadence (walking rate and gait data) measurement, and other key metrics that are of concern to athletes.
The cap replaces the functions of chest heart monitors, wristbands, pedometers, and other devices.
The biometric hat sells for $99, making it very competitive over other similar devices and even has a more feminine version for women who don’t like the idea of wearing a baseball cap.
OrCam is a device with a smart camera designed to assist the visually impaired.
LifeBEAM is just one example of how Israeli ingenuity is being a blessing to the world. Other examples are the following:
- OrCam’s glasses, which allow the visually impaired to read by verbally identifying words and audibly reading them to the wearer;
- ReWalk, which allows the paralyzed to walk, climb stairs, and even participate in marathons;
- Angel Sensor, a bracelet device that collects data on the condition of the body and sends it to a smartphone app;
- MUV’s Bird, which turns any flat surface into a touch screen device by projecting light through its wearable ring-like sensors;
- Meta's 3D glasses, which allow you to interact with the world by overlaying your immediate view with virtual information holograms that you control with your hands;
- HereO watch, which link’s your children to your smart phone so you always know where they are;
- Modrillian Smart Strap, a watch strap that discretely alerts you when you have a call or text;
- Oxitone, a wearable pulse and blood oxygen monitor that streams health data to health professionals; and
- Tempdrop, a wearable device that tracks body temperature for those trying to get pregnant, alerting them to the best time to conceive. (No Camels)

Israeli PM Welcomes Nuclear Talks Extension
This Monday, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, welcomed the decision between world powers and Iran to extend the nuclear talks until next summer.
Having reached the US-set deadline without arriving at an comprehensive deal, the Iran talks with the P5+1 (United States, Russia, China, the United Kingdom, France and Germany) have been extended another seven months.
“I think that an important thing happened today. We have always said that no agreement is preferable to a bad agreement and the agreement that Iran signed is a very bad and dangerous agreement for Israel, for the region and in my opinion for the future of the entire world,” Netanyahu said.
“It is very important that this agreement has been prevented as of now, but a struggle is yet before us and we intend to continue this struggle in order to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear threshold state that would endanger us and others."
Netanyahu has repeatedly warned the West that the deal on the table was a bad deal and would enable Iran to secretly pursue its ambition to create nuclear weapons
In an interview with the BBC, he explained: “The deal would have left Iran with the ability to enrich uranium for an atomic bomb while removing the sanctions…. The right deal that is needed is to dismantle Iran’s capacity to make atomic bombs and only then dismantle the sanctions.”
“The fact that there is no deal gives us the opportunity to continue the economic pressure that have proven to be the only thing that brought Iran to the table.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is interviewed by the BBC.
Netanyahu also told the BBC that there is no such thing as the right to enrich uranium and that Iran wants to enrich it so that it can become a military nuclear power.
"How do we know that? Because they are developing intercontinental ballistic missiles. What do you do with such missiles? The only reason you build ICBMs is to launch a nuclear warhead. So Iran—I think everybody understands—is unabashedly seeking to develop an atomic bomb," he emphasized.
"You do not want to give this medievalist regime in Iran, that throws acid in the faces of women, that oppresses gays, that subjugates an entire population, that exports terrorism far and wide—don't give these violent medievalists atomic bombs. That's not a good thing for the future of the world and its security," he said.
On Monday evening, during a joint press conference held in Vienna with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, US Secretary of State John Kerry said of the extension, “We have made real and substantial progress and we have seen new ideas surface.”
“Today we are closer to a deal that will make the whole world, especially our allies in Israel and the Gulf, safer. We would be fools to walk away,” he emphasized.

The failure of the talks comes against a background in which former CIA chief Michael V. Hayden warned that without actual inspectors on the ground, no agreement can be verified. The Iranians have been very uncooperative when it comes to inspections in the past.
Nuclear talks have not prevented Iran from threatening Israel with annihilation.
At the same time that attempts are being made to prevent Iran from building a bomb with which to destroy Israel, Revolutionary Guard Aerospace Force Brig. Gen. Seyed Majid Moussavi boasted that Iran was providing weapons to Israel’s enemies.
“Our strategic guiding principle is the appropriate arming of Hezbollah and Hamas with advanced, modern weapons in order to allow the resistance groups to deal with the bloodthirsty Zionist regime,” Moussavi said. “The missiles that Iran most recently gave to Hezbollah will allow the organization to reach every point in Israel, including the most guarded facilities of the Zionist occupation forces.” (Algemeiner)
